I have a CC7265 and the hour meter is not working. Any suggestions on how to repair or where to get a replacement. I want to know the hours for maintence purposes.

I'd suggest ordering a replacement rather than attempting to repair it if it is obviously broken. Contact your local International/Case/Cub-Cadet dealer. Their service department should be able to give you assistance on the how-to and/or suggestions on attempting to repair the "old" one, depending upon what is wrong with it. (i.e. smashed glass and dial vs: loose connection) ....

It just doesn't make sense that the tach. works but not the hour meter. They run off the same cable. Thanks for your input. ....

If the factory parts turn out to be too expensive, you should be able to replace the both tach and hour functions with a TinyTach for about $75.00 ....

I've never had to repair or get into an hour meter/tach. I'm assuming the hour meter has a little nylon or plastic gear reducer with a 60:1 ratio that converts RPM to hours. My guess is the gear is busted. ....

Typically hour meters are very simple clocks. If the cable to the hour meter is energized (as it would be if the tractor was running), the hour meter is running. If the hour meter is not running - either 1) there is no input voltage. 2) there is a mechanical / electrical problem with the motor or linkage driving the clock wheels - these latter parts are located withing the hour meter itself. ....
